The Cyber Unity Championship 2026 is the
maiden edition of an inter-organisation football tournament for cybersecurity,
IT and technology professionals. The initiative will bring together teams from
government, telecoms, banking and fintech, cybersecurity providers, technology
firms, startups, academia and innovation communities.

The tournament will be delivered across two
locations: Lagos and Abuja. Each location will host its own 8-team tournament,
after which the Lagos champion and Abuja champion will meet in a Grand Finale
in October 2026, during Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Objectives

Strengthen relationships across
government, industry, academia and the wider technology community.

·      
Promote physical wellbeing,
mental resilience and team culture within high-pressure cybersecurity and IT
roles.

·      
Create a high-visibility
platform that aligns with Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October.

·      
Increase inclusion and
participation through dedicated women’s showcase matches in both Lagos and
Abuja.
